Suction Therapy

Cupping Therapy

Cupping is an ancient technique that creates suction on the skin using glass, bamboo, or silicone cups. This draws stagnant blood and toxins from deep within tissues to the surface, promoting fresh circulation and releasing chronic muscle tension.

The therapy leaves temporary circular marks on the skin—a sign that stagnation is being released. These marks fade within a few days as your body processes the released toxins. Athletes and wellness enthusiasts worldwide have embraced cupping for its remarkable ability to speed recovery and relieve pain.

How Cupping Works

Cups are placed on specific areas and create a vacuum effect. This negative pressure lifts tissue, increases blood flow, and draws out metabolic waste products. The therapy can be stationary or involve sliding cups along meridian lines.

Releases deep fascial restrictions and muscle knots

Improves circulation and lymphatic drainage

Reduces inflammation and speeds recovery

Effective for respiratory conditions and chest congestion

Heat Therapy

Moxibustion

Moxibustion involves burning dried mugwort (moxa) near or on acupuncture points to warm meridians and expel cold. This gentle heat therapy strengthens Qi, promotes circulation, and supports the body's natural healing abilities.

The warming properties of moxa make it particularly effective for conditions related to cold and dampness in TCM diagnosis. It's often combined with acupuncture for enhanced therapeutic effects, especially in treating chronic conditions and supporting immune function.

Direct Moxibustion

Small cones of moxa placed directly on the skin for focused, warming treatment

Indirect Moxibustion

Moxa stick held near the skin or placed on acupuncture needles for gentle warming

Key Benefits:

Strengthens immune system

Improves digestion

Relieves cold-related pain

Boosts energy and vitality

Supports women's health

Aids chronic conditions

Scraping Therapy

Gua Sha

Gua Sha (pronounced "gwah-shah") is a traditional scraping technique using a smooth-edged tool to apply pressured strokes over lubricated skin. This releases stagnation, breaks up scar tissue, and promotes fresh blood flow to congested areas.

Like cupping, Gua Sha creates temporary redness (petechiae) that indicates the release of stagnant blood and metabolic waste. This therapeutic redness typically fades within 2-4 days as your body processes the released toxins and repairs the tissue.

The Technique

Using jade, buffalo horn, or specialized Gua Sha tools, we apply repeated pressured strokes in one direction along muscles and meridians. The technique is particularly effective for releasing chronic muscle tension and improving microcirculation.

Korean Medicine

KHT Korean Hand Therapy

Korean Hand Therapy (KHT) is a specialized microsystem acupuncture that treats the entire body through precise points on the hands. Like auriculotherapy for the ear, the hand contains a complete map of your body's organs and systems.

This non-invasive therapy is particularly valuable for patients who are sensitive to needles or cannot receive treatment on other parts of their body. The hands' rich nerve supply and ease of access make KHT both powerful and convenient.

Why KHT is Effective

The hands mirror the body's anatomy and energy pathways. Stimulating specific hand points sends healing signals to corresponding organs and body systems through neural and energetic connections.
